WEBSITE FOR FINDING AND VIEWING ART TUTORIAL
Building a website that offers a wide variety of art tutorials can provide a valuable resource for individuals interested in learning about different art techniques and styles. A website like this could cater to people of all skill levels and provide a one-stop-shop for anyone interested in learning about art.
THE GOAL
A goal for making a website that has art tutorials is to provide a comprehensive and easily accessible resource for individuals who are interested in learning about different art techniques and styles. The goal of the website is to provide a one-stop-shop for anyone who is interested in learning about art and improving their artistic abilities.

MY ROLE
UX designer leading the app and responsive website design from conception to delivery. Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs.
USER RESEARCH
Some areas of focus for my user research on the art tutorials website included the types of art tutorials that users were looking for, the format and style of the tutorials that they preferred, and any potential challenges or obstacles that they may have faced when using the website. By conducting user research, I was able to ensure that my art tutorials website was tailored to the needs of my users and provided them with the information and tools they needed to improve their art skills

IDEATION
I did a quick ideation exercise to come up with ideas for how to address gaps identified in the competitive audit. My focus was specifically on making it easy for users to access different courses and filter by difficulty.

DIGITAL WIREFRAMES
After ideating and drafting some paper wireframes, I created the initial designs for the Art tutorial website. These designs focused on breaking down the three types of art basics, traditional art and digital art.

USABILITY
STUDY
FINDINGS
Overall, participants found the website easy to navigate and use, with a clear and intuitive layout that made it easy to find the tutorials they were looking for. The website's division into traditional art and digital art sections was well-received, as it allowed users to quickly find the tutorials that matched their interests and skill levels. However, some participants reported difficulty in searching for specific tutorials within the sections, suggesting that we could improve the search functionality on the website.
HIGH-FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
The high-fidelity prototype followed the same user flow as the low-fidelity prototype, including design changes made after the usability study. Particularly the addition of adding filters to search art styles.

CONCLUSION
During this project I learnt that the key to user experience is research and user testing. These things help shape and define your project to be successful, particularly in refining the search functionality to find specific tutorials and defining the difficulty of the tutorials. The next stage would be doing an additional round of user testing.
